Autumn session opened

On 6 October 2026 the Mejlis opened its autumn session with the State Anthem, performed by the military band of the State Defense Corps. The Lieutenant Governor, Aidar Maksat, addressed the chamber on behalf of the Governor.

The session runs until 18 December 2026. The principal business is the Budget Bill 2027, which the Office of the Governor will lay in November. Sittings are held on Tuesdays; see Bills before the Mejlis and the public gallery.
