Social Affairs and Education Committee hears the Minister of Education on textbooks

On 15 October 2026 the Social Affairs and Education Committee, chaired by Kanykei Bayaly, deputy for Talas, heard the Minister of Education, Kanykei Umotova, on the execution of executive directive 2026/31 on textbooks.

Members asked about the delivery of textbooks to the schools of the districts and the provision of books in Iradi and English. The committee took note of the information and asked the Ministry to report again before the end of the session.
