The budget cycle
The fiscal year is the calendar year. The Ministry of Economy drafts the budget, the Office of the Governor lays it before the Mejlis in November and it is passed in December. The 2026 budget provided for revenue of 32.4 billion som and spending of 34.9 billion som.
