Budget for 2026 passed

On 16 December 2025 the Mejlis passed the Budget Bill 2026 at the third reading. The budget provides for revenue of 32.4 billion som and spending of 34.9 billion som.

The deficit of 2.5 billion som is covered from the Toktogul export escrow reserve at Talasbank. The largest items of spending are public wages, security, education, and roads and investment, including the royalty road fund of 1995.
